DUCHY 27
The Duchy 27 built by Cockwells is an elegant classic launch suitable for coastal or river use. With speeds of up to 23knots from her 200hp shaft drive diesel engine she is the perfect picnic boat for six people or a comfortable weekender for two. Her semi displacement hull provides excellent seakeeping and a comfortable ride – the Cockwell demonstrator regularly cruises from Mylor to the Scillies, and one of the latest Duchys to be built was delivered to her new owner in Northern Ireland by sea.
When tested by Motor Boats Monthly they commented:
“The classic picnic boat proportions have been beautifully interpreted by Wolstenholme making this one of the prettiest new boats.”
In May 2014 Cockwells launched a custom Duchy for use in Norway. ‘Farouk’ has a cut down sheer and timber superstructure and features a large cockpit with a simple two berth cabin (see Gallery 1).
DUCHY 35
The Duchy 35 made her debut at the 2017 Southampton boat show and immediately took orders. In January 2018 she won the Wheelhouse and Cockpit Cruisers section of the prestigious Motor Boat Awards. She maintains the distinctive Duchy family style and is powered by twin screw shaft drive diesels and have either single or twin cabin layouts. The enclosed wheelhouse opens into a large cockpit and the recessed side decks will give a feeling of security when moving around the boat. Ideal for day sailing or for more extended cruising.
